Raoul Wallenberg – One Man Can Make a Difference( III 2006- VI 2006)
Exhibition organised by the Jewish Museum in Stockholm. Raoul Wallenberg (1912-?) was a Swedish businessman and diplomat who saved many Hungarian Jews from death. In January 1945 he was arrested by the NKVD and sent to Lubianka prison in Moscow. According to the Soviet version of events he died on 17 July 1947 of a heart attack. The true fate of Wallenberg remains unknown.
The aim of the creators of the exhibition was to answer the questions: who really was Wallenberg? Why did nobody succeed in getting him freed from Lubianka prison?
